Objective:The study observes the relationship between the complications and PT&INR after taking warfarin for cardiac valve replacement, and gives the reference for clinical use of warfarin.Method:173 patients with cardiac valve replacements in Shanxi Province in last five years take warfarin for anticoagulant therapy. The patients have normal liver function, none blood system disease and none other medicine influences.Randomly we observe that there are the complications, and record the PT&INR values. The patients are divided into 3 groups according to bleeding, embolization and no bleeding& embolization. We Analyze the safe range of PT and INR with the statistics. Results:Improper anticoagulantion causes 22 patients complications, and the rate is 12.7%,of 18 bleedings and 4 embolizations. Conclusion:The PT safe range of taking warfarin for cardiac valve replacement is 15.4-24.73s,the INR safe range is 1.31-2.64,which are both lower than recommendable ranges in the Occident. The patients should examine the PT and INR value regularly.
