ObjectiveTo observe the improvement and manipuility of TCM-related emotion-thought terapy on the quality of life for cancer patients.The results will provide evidence for further study on TCM-related emotion-thought therapy.Methods60 cases who met with the inclusion criteria were selected and averagely divided into treatment group and controlled group according to the method of quasi-randomized trial,i.e.the hospitalized order,even number as the experimental group and the odd number as the controlled group.The treatment group was given a 15 to 30 minutes' TCM-related emotion-thought therapy each day which last two weeks except general routine treatment such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy,e tal.And the controlled group was given general routine treatment.All of the subjects compolished the quality of life questionnaire and Hamill Dayton Anxiety Scale score before and one weeks after our therapy. Adverse events were recorded at the same time.SPSS13.0 Statistical Package was used to set up the databases.Paired t-tests was used to analyzed the questionnaire scores before and after therapy.Independent samples t test was used to analyzed the difference between control group and treatment group.ResultsThe results of t test and chi-square test showed than there was no significant difference between the two groups in general information, including age,sex,marital status,the surgical methods,education and so on.We use matching t test to analyzed the questionaire scores of the treatment group before and after theraphy.Results showed that there were statistical significant difference in the subscales of the quality of life questionaire including functional scale,the total health status scale and the symptoms scale consist of fatigue,nausea and vomiting,pain,insomnia,appetite loss, diarrhea and Hamilton Anxiety Scale total score before and after treatment (P<0.05).there was no such difference being foundin the controlled group (P>0.05) except the total health status scale and pain of the symptoms scale(P<0.05).In the comparions between the two groups,there were statistical significant difference in the subscales of the quality of life questionaire including the role scale,emotional function,social function,overall health status,fatigue of the symptoms scale and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(P<0.05). In the course during treatment all cases had got a good compliance and non-self-withdrawal,also none adverse reactions and events occurred.ConclusionsCancer is a common psychosomatic disease,its cause was significantly related to the excess of seven relations Cancer are common psychosomatic diseases,depression,insomnia,anxiety and other psychosomatic symptoms in general are also present in cancer patients.At present,the treatment is mainly targeted to cancer lump,the survival quality of cancer patients is not high.The starting point of this study was to enhance the quality of life of cancer patients.And the quality of life scale,Hamilton anxiety rating scale were used as the rating method.Results showed that TCM-related emotion-thought therapy can significantly improve the quality of life of cancer patients and deal with the state of anxiety.Futher more,no adverse events occurred in our study course.
