Empirical Study And Clinical Observation On The Therapeutics Of Arousing Brain And Eliminating Phlegm In Vascular Dementia

Objective:To explore the influence of the therapeutics of arousing brain and eliminating phlegm in vascular dementia.The research including two parts:1.Empirical study.Method:The therapeutics of arousing brain and eliminating phlegm was used to treat model rats with reforming four-vascular occlusion for 20 days and 30days respectively.Observe their abilities of spatial learning and memory. Then analyze the parameter of place navigation test and spatial probe test by Morris water maze.Result:The escape latency,the total swimming time and the time of swim in platform quadrant of untreated group had significantly prolonged than that of sham operation group,drug group and acupuncture combined drug group;the therapeutics of arousing brain and eliminating phlegm has the tendency to shorten it but no significant difference compared with untreated group. Conclusion:the therapeutics of arousing brain and eliminating phlegm combined with huperzine A can significantly improve the spatial 1earning and memory ability of rots with VD,which provides the evidencefor its clinical application of improving the learning and memory ability in VD patients.2.Clinical observation.Method:The patients were divided and treated with acupuncture(treated with Si-Shencong,Yin-tang,Ren-zhong,Zhong-wan),Huperzine A tablets and acupuncture combined with huperzine A tablets respectively for 60 days.The effect was valued by The Standard Piagnose,Differentiation and Effect of Vascular Dementia.Observe MMSE-R,ADL-R and SDSVD. Result:Acupuncture group and drug group have significant difference in the spatial learning and memory ability,activities of daily life and clinical symptoms.Acupuncture combined Huperzine A tablets is better tban the other two groups.Conclusion:the acupuncture of arousing brain and eliminating phlegm and Huperzine A tablets can improve the spatial learning and memory ability, activities of daily life and clinical symptoms of AD patients.Acupuncture combined Huperzine A tablets is better than the other two groups.
