The Clinical Observation In Treating Hyperplasia Of Mammary Glands Of Stagnation Of Liver Qi Type By Auricular Pressure Therapy With Chinese Medicine

Background: Hyperplasia of mammary glands, which is called "rupi" in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is an oedinary disease mostly among women. Its main clinical symptoms include intermittent pain and lump in mammary glands. The incidence of a rising trend year by year in China, and seriously affect people' s life and health. In recent years, with clinical and mechanism of auricular the deepening of auricular pressure therapy in the treatment of hyperplasia of mammary glands began to be applied aspects.Objective: to observe and evaluate the curative effect of auricular pressure therapy with Chinese medicine in hyperplasia of mammary glands of stagnation of liver-qi type.Methods: 60 outpatients from the departments of acupuncture and the mammary glands in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM, seleted according to strict diagnosis criterion, were dibided into the treat group of 30 cases and the concrol group of 30 cases. Treat group: use the wangbuliuxing with plasters to paste in the ear points of Liver, Ruxian, Neifenmi, Shenmen, Jiaogan, Chuiti, Luancao, Pizhixia, removed 3-5 days later, once a week, alternating ears; at the same time, patients took the Rupixiao capsule 3 times a day for each 5, a month afetr a treatment cycle, paused during the menstrual period, the treatment of three consecutive course of treatment. Control group: took the Rupixiao capsule 3 times a day for each 5, a month afetr a treatment cycle, paused during the menstrual period, the treatment of three consecutive course of treatment. Record the data of the two groups, establish the database, and analyze them by SPSS17. 0 software package.Results: the total effective rate of treat group is 76.67%, while the control group is 70. 00%. There is no significant difference between two groups(P>0. 05). In each group there are signficant difference of symptoms about the pain and rumour of the mammary glands before and after therapy. The treat group has better effect on improving the pain and emotions and the data between the two groups has significance.Conclusions: Auricular Pressure Therapy is an effective method to treat hyperplasia of mammary glands, especially to alleviate the pain symptom and improve emotions. And it has the advantage of the more simple way to give treatment and no side-effect. This shows that auricular Pressure Therapy will have a good prospect of clinical application.
