Influence Of Integrative Rehabilitation Therapy On The Recovery Of Ankle Dysfunction Of Patients From Cerebral Infarction

Objective:To discuss the influence of integrative rehabilitation therapy on the recovery of ankle dysfunction of patients with cerebral infarction for finding the most effective method that could improve ankle dysfunction after cerebral infarctionMethods:40 patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into 8 groups: group A to group H.There were 5 patients in each group.All patients were treated by routine therapy in neuropathic department,while all patients received the therapy of acupuncture;wearing ankle-foot orthosis(AFO) and rehabilitation therapy with different combination by different levels which are depend on length of treatment.The effect was assessed with some scales in the motor function of ankle,ankle spasticity,ability of balance and ADL pre and post treatment.Results:(1) There is a significant improvement(P＜0.01) in the motor function of ankle,ankle spasticity,ability of balance and ADL by Acupuncture,wearing ankle-foot orthosis and rehabilitation therapy with different length of treatment.(2) There is a significant improvement(P＜0.01)in the motor function of ankle and ADL,the interactions existing in acupuncture and rehabilitation, acupuncture and AFO,rehabilitation and AFO.(3)There is a significant improvement(P＜0.05) of ankle spasticity and ability of balance after cerebral infarction by effect of each other between cluster needling of scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy;between rehabilitation therapy and AFO.(4) There is a significant improvement(P＜0.05) ofmotor function of ankle,ankle spasticity,ability of balance and ADL after cerebral infarction by effect of each other between cluster needling of scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy and AFO.Conclusion:(1) The simplex cluster needling of scalp acupuncture and simplex rehabilitation therapy and simplex wearing AFO can improve the spasticity of ankle dysfunction,the motor function of ankle,ability of balance and ADL after cerebral infarction.(2) There is effect of each other between cluster needling of scalp acupuncture and AFO;between cluster needling of scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy;between rehabilitation therapy and AFO in improving the spasticity of ankle dysfunction and the motor function of ankle.(3) There is effect of each other between cluster needling of scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy;between rehabilitation therapy and AFO in improving the ability of balance and ADL after cerebral infarction.(4) There is effect of each other between cluster needling of scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy and AFO in improving the spasticity of ankle dysfunction,the motor function of ankle,ability of balance and ADL after cerebral infarction.(5) The best project in the experiment is that cluster needling of scalp acupuncture in 2 months and rehabilitation therapy in 2 months and ankle-foot orthosis in 2 months are combined.
