Objective:Through clinical randomized controlled trials, the curative effects of the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy and conventional therapy of Western Medicine on cerebral infarction (acute period) patients are observed, compared, in order to explore better therapeutic schedule for clinical treatments of cerebral infarction. Methods:According to simple random grouping method, the 60 patients that satisfy inclusion criteria of cerebral infarction are divided into two groups, each 30 cases. The control group utilizes conventional treatment of Western Medicine, while the treatment group use the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy, in addition to the control group treatment. And the whole treatment is about 3 months. The NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)、ADI、PRO measuring scale are used to evaluate on the day of entrance, two weeks of treatment as well as three months of treatment.Results:1、Clinical efficacy:NIHSS score:the NIHSS scores of experimental group before treatments are 13.03 +5.01 (treatment group),14.53±4.67(control group). And through comparison of treatment and control group (t=-1.190, p=0.239), there is no significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05), which means that they are comparable. After two weeks of treatment, the experimental group was 9.55±4.59(treatment group),11.87 ±4.95(control group).By comparison of treatment and control group (Z=-1.860, p=0.068), there is no significant difference between the two groups score (p>0.05). And both the internal group comparisons were p=0.000, which means that there is significant difference (p<0.05). After three months of treatment, the treatment and control groups are respectively 4.34±3.61,8.83±4.68. By comparison, Z=-4.114, p=0.000, there was a significant difference between the two groups score (p<0.05). And the internal group comparisons were p=0.000, which means that there is significant difference (p<0.05).ADL score:before treatments, the BI value of the two groups are compared by T tested, respectively 74.14±7.69 (treatment group),72±7.50 (control group). With the fact that t=1.082 and p=0.284>0.05, there is no statistical significance, but the baseline is consistent and they are comparable. After two weeks of treatment, in contrast to that of before treatment, the Barthel index of the treatment group and control group are respectively 81.03±6.86,74.67±7.30. And in terms of T test, the result is that p< 0.05, which means that there is statistical difference. In contrast to that of two weeks after treatment, the Barthel index of the treatment group and control group after three months are respectively 90.17±5.59,79.17±8.00. And in terms of T test, the result is that p<0.05, which means that there is statistical difference and the curative effects after three months treatment is better than control group.PRO score:the PRO scores of experimental group before treatments are 47.38±6.11 (treatment group),44.43±9.68 (control group). And through comparison, there is no significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05), which means that they are comparable. After two weeks of treatment, the experimental group was 37.14±7.39 (treatment group),37.23±7.96 (control group). By comparison of treatment and control group (Z=-0.243, P=0.808), there is no significant difference between the two groups score (p>0.05). And both the internal group comparisons were p=0.000, which means that there is significant difference (p<0.05). After three months of treatment, the treatment and control groups are respectively 23.86±7.06,28.10±8.01. By comparison, Z=-2.045,p=0.040<0.05, there was a significant difference between the two groups score (p<0.05). And the internal group comparisons were p=0.000, which means that there is significant difference (p<0.05) and they are comparable.2、Safety evaluation:in terms of security, the performances of two groups are equal.Conclusion:1, After the condition of patients with cerebral infarction become stable, on the basis of conventional treatment of Western Medicine, the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy tends to be beneficial to reducing the degree of neurological deficit. After two weeks of treatment, NIHSS scores have no significant difference between control and treatment group while there are significant difference between them after three months treatment.2. After the condition of patients with cerebral infarction become stable, on the basis of conventional treatment of Western Medicine, the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy has wonderful effects on improving daily living activity of patients. And there are significant difference between control and treatment group both after two weeks and three months treatment.3. After the condition of patients with cerebral infarction become stable, on the basis of conventional treatment of Western Medicine, the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy has good effects on improving clinical outcome assessment of patients. While the PRO score has no difference between control and treatment group after two weeks treatment, there are significant difference between them after three months treatment. And the treatment group performs better than the control group.4. After the condition of patients with acute ischemic stroke become stable, on the basis of conventional treatment of Western Medicine, the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy has satisfying effects on improving patients’ after-treatment condition. The patients has good compliance without risks and the clinical effects are confirmed as well.
