| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Jianpi Tang and chemotherapy for treatment of advanced colorectal carcinoma. Methods: 35 cases of advanced colorectal carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups, 18 cases in the observation group were treated with FOLFOX chemotherapy and Jianpi Tang,the other 17 cases in the control group were treated with FOLFOX chemotherapy only. Objective effects and the changes of subjective symptoms were studied after three cycles of chemotherapy. Results: The clinical symptoms,weights,the quality of life,less toxic effects of the blood and digestive system,immune function in the observation group were better than the control group, but there was no significant difference in the tumor mark(CEA),the toxicity of peripheral nerve and the size of solid tumor, the liver and renal damage were not obvious in the two groups. Conclusion:Jianpi Tang and FOLFOX chemotherapy had synergia curative effect on treating advanced colorectal carcinoma,"yi qi jian pi"is one of effective methods on treatment of advanced colorectal carcinoma.
