The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Nine Gastrointestinal Tumor

Objective:To investigate the clinical features of gastrointestinal stromal tumor, improve the diagnostic and therapic levels of clinicians,and reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.Method:We selected patho-diagnosed nine patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor who had ever been in hospital in The First Affiliated Hospital,School of Medicine,Zhejiang University during 2007-2008,to retrospectively analyze the clinical data of them and summarize their clinical symptoms and signs,laboratory tests, imaging examinations,endoscopic examination,diagnosis,treatment and follow-up results,and tried to distinguish them from other diseases.Result:The clinical manifestations and serological examination of nine cases of gastrointestinal stromal tumor were lack of diagnostic specificity,easily confused with other diseases.Combined with imaging and endoscopic examination,nine cases of patients taking preoperative diagnosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumor.Five patients were diagnosed by ultrasonic endoscope,two by combination of intestinal endoscope and CT examination,while one by DSA examination.Nine patients all underwent surgery,and postoperative pathology were diagnosed as gastrointestinal stromal tumors.Followed up of 3-23 months,patients were in good,having not yet discovered the phenomenon of recurrence or metastasis. Conclusion:The clinical manifestations and serological examination of gastrointestinal stromal tumor are unspecific,while the combination of imaging examination and endoscopic examination is the main method to preoperative diagnosis of the disease.However,histopathology especially immunohistochemical phenotype is still the golden standard.Surgical resection is the effective treatment for gastrointestinal stromal tumor.
