Objective:Accompanied by the increase of lymphoma incidence in recent years, the incidences of primary and secondary genitourinary lymphoma have also raised. This article studied the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the genitourinary system. Methods:The clinical features of nine cases(eight men and one woman) of genitourinary system non-Hodgkin lymphoma were treated from 2004.10 to 2009.2.The mean age was 58 years(range,30-80 years).Among the nine cases, the location and clinical features included adrenal gland in two cases(bilateral adrenal gland occupation by physical examination in one and left lumbar pain and fatigue in one),left ureter in one case(left hydronephrosis and post-peritoneum lymph nodes enlargement),bladder in one case (painless gross hematuria),prostate in one case(urinary frequency, urinary urgency and dysuria),testis in three cases(testis enlargement or testis mass, left in two cases and right in one case),prepuce in one case(prepuce swelling and pain). The disease courses range from 15 days to 10 months. The Pubmed database among 1980-2009 was searched for related articles and the clinical data were reviewed. Results:Seven cases underwent operations, and the other two cases received general chemotherapy of CHOP or R-CHOP chemotherapy after puncture diagnosis.Eight cases were pathologically confirmed to be non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphoma, one case was NK/T-cell lymphoma.Five of the seven operation cases underwent CHOP chemotherapy after pathological diagnosis(testis in two, adrenal gland, bladder and ureter in one, respectively). One case received radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and one case didn't receive further treatment after operation.Four cases died during the follow-up of 1 month to 5 years(testis, adrenal gland, prostate and prepuce each in one case),the other five cases were alive. Conclusion:NHL of the genitourinary system is an uncommon disease with atypical clinical features and poor prognosis.Operation combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy were appropriate for the treatment.
