Study On Clinical Pathway For The Patients With SAP In ICU Stage

Objective:To develop,implement and evaluate clinical pathway for the patients with SAP in the ICU stage.Methods:We developed a 10-day pathway,six clinical protocols and one module under investigation. Then,82 patients were divided into two groups.One group received clinical pathway and the other received conventional care.We evaluate the effects of clinical pathway on SAP patients from several aspects.Results:①The time of abdominal pain in the clinical pathway patients was shorter than that not in the pathway(P＜0.01),the time of abdominal distention in the clinical pathway patients was shorter than that not in the pathway(P＜0.05).②The incidence rate of complication in the clinical pathway patients was lower than did patients not in the pathway(P＜0.05).③The total hospitalization days and the cost of hospitalization in the clinical pathway was lower than that not in the pathway(P＜0.05).④The patient health education knowledge and the satisfaction from patients was increased in the clinical pathway.(P＜0.05).Conclusions:Clinical pathway implementation on SAP patients can improve the health care quality, shorten the course and reduce the total cost,improve satisfaction from patients.
