Objective: By analyzing electrocardiogram changes in characteristics of 150 children with viral myocarditis in our hospital Retrospectively,to disscuss the characteristics of electrocardiogram changes in children with viral Myoca- rditis and clinical significance. Methods: Collected information from 150 children clinical diagnosed with viral myocarditis in our hospital in January 2000 - July 2008,analysis characteristics of electrocardiogram changes and parallel analyze the results of characteristics of electrocardiogram enzyme, heart X-ray.Results: The ECG changed were 122 cases in 155 cases (81.3%):of which arrhythmia were 92 cases(75.4%),in which mostly were premature ventricular contractions, atrial premature beats, sinus tachycardia often, 24.7%, 19.3%,18.7%,respectively,followed by ST-T changes(23cases,15.3%),the differ- ence of positiverate among abnormal electrocardiogram and myocardial enzymes,cardiac,X-ray,echocardiography had statistical significance (P<0.05), the sensi -tivity from high to low were ECG,myocardial enzymes, echocardiography cardiac X-ray examination. The connection between ECG changes and condition and prognosis:Atrial, ventricular premature beats have general a better prognosis, clinical symptoms are relatively light, medium and heavy cases of ECG change andâ…¡â…¢degrees celsius degree atrioventricular block, abnormal Q waves, mainly of sinus bradycardia; When children emerging electrocardiogramâ…¢degree atrioventricular block, abnormal Q wave, Q-T interval extended,in particular the merger of one or more other ECG changes, clinical manifestations were mostly heavy, not satisfied with the treatment, and poor prognosis. Conclusion: Arrhythmia was the most common ECG changes in children with viral myocarditis(Order was premature ventricular contractions, atrial premature beats, sinus tachycardia and atrioventricular block),followed by ST-T changes and low QRS voltage, and there were two and two or more ECG changes. analyzing them by sensitivity:ECG>enzyme>Echocardiography>card- iacX-ray, Although the ECG change was not specific in the diagnosis of viral myocarditis in children, high sensitivity, was the early detection of viral myocarditis in children, was one of the important indicators in early detection of viral myocarditis in children. Combining clinical features, the change in children with viral myocarditis had some clinical significance in early diagnosis and prognosis.
