Research Of Clinical Application Of Glass Fiber Post

Objective Observe the clinical effect of repairing front teeth's nub restored with fiber post-coreMethods This paper chooses 100 patients who came to the Department of Prosthodontics from September,2006 to March,2007 and randomly divide them into three groups among which there are 52 males and 48 females.Those subjects are all between 28 to 42 years old and have an average age of 35.They have normal occlusion and no teeth grinding during the night.Those subjects are treated with different methods:35 of them(60 front-teeth nubs) are treated with fiber post(glass fiber post plus resin and all-ceramic crowns),34 of them(60 front-teeth nubs) are treated with prefabricated alloy post(prefabricated alloy resin post and PFM crowns) and 31 of them are treated with cast post(cast alloy post-core and PFM crowns).This paper will make a statistical analysis of the falling,broken and root fracture of post-core with two years of doctor memo.Resultsâ‘ As displayed in table 1,the falling of prefabricated alloy post and glass fiber post has statistical significance,but the proportion of the broken post-core and root fracture has no statistical significance.â‘¡As displayed in table 2,the falling of prefabricated glass fiber post and cast alloy post has no statistical significance,but the proprtion of the broken post-core has statistical significance and root fracture has no statistical significance.â‘¢As displayed in table 3,the falling of cast alloy post and prefabricated ally post has statistical significance,but the proportion of the broken post-core has no statistical significance and root fracture has statistical significance.There is no falling and root fracture with post-core restored with fiber post,but there is 6 cases of falling and 2 cases of root fracture if restored with prefabricated alloy post.There is 2 cases of falling and 5 cases of root fracture if restored with cast post.
