The study is designed to meet the need of rapid response to bio-threaten emergencies and assist the professionals to take measures rapidly and successfully. Therefore, based on the study of the hazard evaluation models responding to release of the microbial aerosol, models responding to the spread of instantaneous point-source in the river, models responding to attacking by mails, we are designed to develope convenient PDA-based Biohazard Evaluation System.In this study, there are three parts included: the development of Biohazard Evaluation System response to release of microbial aerosol, the system response to the spread of the instantaneous point-source in the river and the system response to the attacking by mails. The system response to the release of microbial aerosol mainly aims at bacillus anthracis, Yersinia pestis, Francicella tularensis, brucellosis, Burkholderia malleus, Burkholderia pseudomallei six pathogens. According to the different methods used, it is divided into point source and line source release. And then the region of contamination is marked off. Combined with GPS and National administrative divisions, population, transport network digital maps and the use of visual simulation technology, realize the rapid evaluation of biological events. The contamination region is realized intuitively and dynamically. The Biohazard evaluation system response to the spread of the instantaneous point-source in the river mainly aims at poison discharging or leakage accidents. As same to aerosol system, combined with national digital maps of rivers, contamination region is visualized. The system response to the mailborne attacking mainly aims at anthrax. It is assumed that the contaminated letters travel through five nodes, there is a probability that they transfer spores to other letters, and thus proliferate the number of contaminated letters in successive generations. The recipients of letters at the last node are classified by their age, which determines the probability of becoming infected as a function of the spore count of the letter received.On base of the collection of evaluation models, combined with the geographic information systems, visualization technology and of computer language, the visualization of the evaluation is realized. The aerosol system was combinded with the national administrative divisions, GPS and the National Grid population. Through GPS position the scene, determine the relevant parameter values and then the calculation module estimate the maximum time and themaximum area and so on; The visualization module reflects the contaminated area intuitively and then the population in the erea is estimated. At the same time population data will be returned to the calculation module, to estimate the number of infections and deaths. The river system on the base of combination with GPS and National Rivers vector reflects the contaminated river intuitively. The mail sytem can estaminate the contaminated letters and infections rapidly.This study integrates computer technology, GPS, network technology, visual simulation technology and GIS technology; integrates epidemiology, public health, mathematics, computers and geography such multi-disciplinary knowledge. The Biohazard Evaluation System is practical, easy to carry and easy to master for any one professional with simple knowledge of computer. The system innovated in the use of mobile devices, real-time, visualization hazard assessment for the professionals, hazard events simulation and health resource allocation decision-making such as four aspects. And the system is characterized by the following: intuitive, portable, visualization, reality, easy to study, stable and rapid.Because of convenience and data-processing capacity of PDA, we could have its application in relavent fields. However, the application of PDA in evaluation of biological events has not been reported at home and abroad. Study of the system fills the gaps in this area. The study has shown that this system has greatly increased the efficiency of evaluation. At the same time, based on the combination of a large amount of empirical data, the simulation results are more realistic. And the system provides a a good idea in similar study for the future. Although the system has a high value in hazard assessment, the models used in system is abstract. Because of the lact of the actual experimental, the system can only estimate the effects theoretically. The actual effect can not be confirmed, so the model should be refined in the future in order to improve the accuracy of the evluation.
