Purpose:To explore the relationship of Post-operative Hip-knee-ankle angle(HKA) with Surgical Effects of Unicondylar knee arthroplasty(UKA).Methods:Twenty six knees of 22 cases treated by UKA were reviewed retrospectively. The pain and range of motion(ROM) of the knees were evaluated by KSS score system and WOMAC score system. The post-operative alignment of the low limbs (HKA) were measured, and the relationship of Post-operative HKA with KSS/ WOMAC were explored.Results:1.All of the patients were followed up for a mean time of 37 months, the pain of the knees was subsided or relieved in all cases. The post- operative ROM of the knees was 94°~146°(mean 123.5°),the mean KSS score was 94,the mean Function score was 93,the rate of excellent and good was 100%.2.The value of post-operative HKA was 170.5°~179.6°(mean 176.3°),by statistical analysis, there was no significant correlation between the KSS/WOMAC score with the post-operative HKA in the range of surveyed HKA.Conclusions:1.The Short-term Surgical Effects of UKA was satisfactory 2.In the range of surveyed post-operative HKA,there was no significant correlation between the surgical effects with post-operative HKA.
