Abstract/Summary:
ObjectiveTo explore effect of wrist-ankle acupuncture on patients with knee varus deformity after total knee arthroplasty.By observing the indexes of pain, quality of sleep, joint activity and adverse reactions during analgesia,More effective application of wrist-ankle acupuncture for postoperative TKA auxiliary pain to provide the basis.MethodPatients who underwent total knee arthroplasty in the knee joint department of a top-tier hospital from January 2017 to July 2017 observing,According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Patients were randomly divided into experimental group(37 cases)and control group(37 cases)using random number table method.Control group received basic treatment and conventional analgesic treatment. The experimental group was given wrist-ankle acupuncture treatment on the basis of the control group.Acupuncture time for daily CPM machine before the passive exercise, give needle 4 hours, once a day,a total of 7 days of intervention,follow-up 14 days.Record pain, sleep quality, joint activity, adverse reactions during the analgesic and other indicators before and after the treatment of the two groups.Using Excel software to collect data, using statistical software SPSS20.0 for data analysis.Results1.Baseline comparisonThe baseline data(age, sex, educational level, duration of disease, height, weight, medication history, etc.)and the baseline status of evaluation indicators(NRS score, range of motion, sleep status, and HSS score)in the two groups before the trial were not statistically significant(P>0.05),suggesting that the two groups of patients with general information is comparable.2.NRSResting pain scores were compared between the two groups,1 day,3 day,5 day,7 day,14 day after operation, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Passive exercise pain score comparison,1 day,3 day,5 day,7 day,14 day after operation, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.range of motion(ROM)The two groups of patients active range of motion comparison,7day after operation, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);14 day after operation, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The two groups of patients passive range of motion comparison,7 day after operation, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);14 day after operation, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.PSQIThere was significant difference in sleep quality between the two groups(P<0.05)on the 14 day after operation.5.HSS scoreComparison between groups:the HSS score of the two groups was compared on the 7 day and the 14 day after the operation, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Comparison within group:7 day,14 day after operation, the experimental group compared with the day of admission, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).7 day,14 day after operation, control group compared with the day of admission, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.Adverse eventsThe incidence of adverse events, the experimental group compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the incidence of adverse events in the experimental group was less than the control group.ConclusionWrist ankle acupuncture for knee osteoarthritis with varus deformity patients with TKA postoperative analgesic effect, and does not increase the incidence of adverse reactions in patients with the advantages of inexpensive, less side effects,it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
