Clinical Research Of Mumps Treated By Zijin Ingot And Cactus For External With Anti-Baidu Jing San Of Addition And Subtraction For Oral

Objective:In this study we used traditional Chinese medicine to treat mumps by Zijin ingot cactus for external with Anti-Baidu Jing San of addition and subtraction for oral.The point is as the early and mid mumps,we used single prescription to observe the treatment of external treatment and oral treatment.We researched the reliable method to treat mumps by traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:Anti-Baidu Jing San:Schizonepeta,Schischk,Notopterygium,Duhuo, Bupleurum,Imperatorin,Fuling,Chuanxiong,Fructus Aurantii 12 grams each (children:6 grams each),and Campanulaceae,Licorice 6 grams each(children: 3 grams each).Fever and cold fear,unilateral or bilateral parotid gland swelling and pain,chewing inconvenience,or we would see the throat swelling, red tongue essence,thin white or thin yellow tongue coating,floating-rapid pulse,then we would plus Mint,Banlangen,Cicada Shell,Seaweed.Fever irritability,Headache,thirsty and would like to drink some water,cheek swelling and pain,hard but refuse to press,with Pharyngeal swelling and pain, red tongue essence,yellow tongue coating,rapid pulse,we would plus Yuan Participation,Folium,Phillyrin,Baicalin.We would use a daily drug to decoct twice then got the liquid medicine 200ml each day.We divided the 200ml liquid medicine into three parts and took each part after the meal one hour, fairly continuous medication usage for three to ten days. Zijin ingot:Arrowhead Mountain,Red Euphorbiaceae,Gallnut,Leptochloa cream,Cinnabar,Realgar,Musk(Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Company Limited), four pills each time.We took appropriate fresh cactus and removed the cactus thorns then went with four pills of Zijin ingot and pounded them until they became Sticky-like then put that on the lesion three times a day.We changed the new sticky-like medicine again on time if that liquid sticky-like medicine was evaporation drying.Results: Those 18 cases of mumps we treated by Zijin ingot cactus for external with addition and subtraction of Anti-Baidu Jing San for oral;15 cases had recovered their health,which accounted for 83.33%;3 cases had gotten better, which accounted for 16.67%.As for invalid was 0.Therefore,the effects were 100%.Among that the fastest cooling time was 23 hours and the slowest was 78 hours,so the average was 34 hours.The shortest cooling time of cheek was 2 days,the longest was 7 day;as for other symptoms disappeared in 3days.Conclusions:Mumps in TCM Doctrine of Epidemic Febrile Disease called the disease as "da tou weng".That' s a kind of Acute Exogenous Febrile Disease due to wind heat and seasonal virus,people was sick as a result of feeling the wind heat and seasonal virus,shaoyang meridians estranged,Qi and Blood obstruction, which obstruct to the lateral neck,they were agglomerated in face.The main symptoms was cheek swelling and pain,and the decoction of Chinese medicine treated this disease can achieve good effect.In my opinion,if we only use the way of clearing away heat and toxic like a lot of Honeysuckle, Gypsum,Hemsl and so on in the early,it cannot remove the clinical symptoms as soon as possible;therefore,we use Anti-Baidu Jing San of addition and subtraction.The medicine which takes orally and post outside is the feature in our traditional Chinese medicine treatment to treat "zh(?) s(?)m(mumps)". We posted cactus outside then the medicine' s power can reach inner skin and circulate Qi and Blood,dredge meridians.Furthermore,the effect of detoxification,reduce phlegm,Xiao Zhong Zhi Tong are obviously when we use it with Zijin ingot.The medicine resource of cactus is easy to find,simple to make,convenient to use.We put that on the lesion directly;it works quickly, effect outstandingly,and no side effects.
