Method Discussion Of Treatment For Pain Syndrome By Drug-cupping

Research purpose:to observe the clinical effect of pain syndrome by drug-cupping according to simple McGill Scale;to analysis the clinical effect and operation of the method;to contrast the advantage and disadvantage between drug-cupping and glass-cupping on operation time,absorbability,comfort and amount in treatment location;to be more useful to apply drug-cupping treatment for pain syndrome and more willing to receive the treatment and relieve the pain for patients by relative safe method;to summary the clinical operation experience for improving the clinical effect.Research method:Use the forward-looking method.First,to select 90 out-patients from Acupuncture and Moxibustion department in the 1^st affiliated hospital of Guangzhou TCM university during May 2008 to March 2009,who were divided into two groups as drug-cupping group with 60cases and glass-cupping group with 30 cases and use drug-cup to cure the drug-cupping group for one month.Then,to observe the clinical effect of pain syndrome by drug-cupping according to simple McGill Scale,analysis the clinical effect and operation of the method and contrast the advantage and disadvantage between drug-cupping and glass-cupping on operation time,absorbability,comfort and amount in treatment position.Last,record the data,input to computer and make Statistics and analysis.Research results:1The treatment effect of drug-cuppingfor pain syndrome:The drug-cupping have obvious clinical efficacy on pain syndrome;the efficient reach 78.33%.The clinical effect is related with the course of disease;earlier treatment, better effect.The differentiation types of TCM and category of disease are not related with the clinical effect of drug-cupping for patients.Therefore, it is worth to be promoted and spread for the treatment of pain syndrome.2 The research of factors related with pain syndrome:Among the 60 cases,the quantity of female is more than male.The pain syndrome occurs in any age stage and is not related with age.The main differentiation type of TCMis obstruction of meridian by cold-damp,second is deficiency of liver and kidney,3 The discussion of operation of drug-cupping:3.1 The selection of cup:Use the bamboo-making cup due to liable acquirement, simply manufacture,lightness,cheapness,not easy broken and liable to absorb the drug during cooking,better keep warming and not easy cooling down immediately.3.2 The drug Prescription for cooking cup:The drug has the function of activating blood to eliminate stasis,moving Qi to go through meridian,not only resolves the obstruction by damp and blood stasis,but also clears Qi and blood and meridian after absorbed,improves the drug-cupping effect.3.3 The continued time and the amount of cup:In principle,it is up to different disease,physical constitution and degree of reception.3.4 The relationship between the patient feelings and the temperature of cup: When the temperature of cup reach 70-85℃,the patient feel better,the absorbability of cup is more strong and the manipulation is easier.3.5 The relationship between the room temperature and comfort and absorbability:When the room temperature reach 20-25℃or below 20℃,the comfort is better.Absorbability is not related with the room temperature directly.3.6 Processing of drug-cup:To add the drug to the herb-bag,put the herb-bag to the pot with the water until boiling,then place the bamboo-cup to the boiling water about 5-10 minutes and keep warm by rice cooker,which make the drug composition infiltrate the bamboo-cup.The cup temperature must reach about 85℃when treatment,which keep the certain temperature to warm the meridian,improve the absorption of drug and be accepted by patients.4 The contrast between the glass-cup and drug-cup:The advantages of glass-cup are simply manipulation and short time but the advantages of drug-cup are same absorbability,more comfortable and the amount.5 The problem of blister caused by drug-cupping:The drug-cupping is liable to cause the blister,but the blister could improve the therapeutic result, which called "blister therapy".The causes of blister include:keeping cupping for too long time,too high temperature,superabundant damp constitution,duplicating treatment on the same location,manipulating on certain location ever touched by plaster,fomentation and TDP or severe painful and long course location.The relationship between blaster and disease:Some position which are severe or obvious painful are liable to cause blister after cupping.Conclusion:1 The drug-cupping have obvious clinical efficacy on pain syndrome;the efficient reach 78.33%.The clinical effect is related with the course of disease.2 Using the bamboo-making cup is suitable.The drug must have the function of activating blood to eliminate stasis,moving Qi to go through meridian, such as Duhuo,Chuanxiong,Honghua,Chishao and so on.The continued time and the amount of cup should be up to different disease,physical condition and degree of reception.The suitable temperature is 70-85℃for drug-cup and the room temperature is below 25℃for treatment.The proper processing is putting bamboo-cup to the pot after boiling the drug,then keeping the cup in the rice cooker for reservation.To heat the cup until 85℃when treating.3 The advantages of drug-cup are same absorbability,more comfortable and the amount and longer manipulation time.It is worth to be promoted and spread for the treatment of pain syndrome.4 The drug-cupping is liable to cause the blister,but the blister could improve the therapeutic result,which
