Intensive care unit (ICU) of our hospital is the main place where critically ill patients are diagnosis and treatment. It is the home of critically ill patients for treatment center. With its advanced mendical equipment and experienced medical staff, it is good for the treatment of critically patients to provide favorable conditions. But at the same time, the patients themselves because of severe illness, hospitalization time, long bed, and ICU medical and nursing staff combined with heavy workload and heavy tasks easily cause cross-infection, and further aggravate the ill condition. Hospital infections is the importance medical problem in the nowdays. We need a complete system for hospital infection to control collaboration. so that it is possible to control the hospital infection to the minimum. The most Important is ICU infection. ICU patients with serious illness and lower immunity often onset acute and dangerous illness. The current in vitro culture is cost long time. The patient's condition often does not allow to wait for the results. So the application of antibiotics of ICU infection is often used empirically. Outside personnel clinical experience,it should be based on the distribution of infection and drug-resistant strains of select agents. So monitoring the prevalence of ICU infection and drug resistance is very important. The probability of intensive care unit that occurred the incidence of nosocomial infection and infection resistant pathogens were significantly higher than those of non-ICU wards. But between different ICU, different hospitals, or different regions, the pathogen distribution and drug resistance may be also vary.So we can not simply come out conclutions from a particular region in terms of bacterial resistance to other regions. Each region should be based on the results of local monitoring for targeted treatment. So that focusing on infection control and prevention of ICU is an important task of the ICU.In this paper, it summary the data from January 2006 to December 2007 to live in ICU patients of our hospital, which remove the pollution and the same strain found in patients with repeated. In accordance with the ordinary routine bacterial culture methods. Positive for the advantage ones separate and identificate in accordance with the international standards for Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. According to NCCLS standards to judge the results.S means sensitive and R means resistance. Results: 1, prevalence of infection in our hospital ICU strains as follows: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus.①Pseudomonas aeruginosa: The drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa for two years was a significant difference in contrast, (P <0.05).②Acinetobacter baumannii: It is higher antibiotic resistance, the carbapenem antibiotic sensitivity is no more than 50%.③Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli:the majority of antibiotics (including carbapenems, third-generation cephalosporin antibiotics, etc.) are sensitive.④Staphylococcus aureus: Comparison of two years the number of strains were significantly different, (P<0.05), the new Gram-positive cocci antibiotics (vancomycin, teicoplanin) are still very sensitive. 2, fungal infection rates (including double infection) is also higher, mainly in Candida. Conclusion: 1, ICU infection is still mian in the gram-negative bacteria. 2, Part of bacterial resistance, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, antibiotic resistance rised. 3, Gram-positive cocci infection rate shows a rising trend. 4, With the application of broad-spectrum antibiotics, anti-infection should be prevented at the same time.5,Due to the extensive application of antibiotics, a number of opportunistic pathogen such as Acinetobacter baumannii is increasing year by year, and at the same time,it is drug-resistant strains.6,Carbapenem antibiotic resistance is still the lowest in the antibiotic resistance.7,Bacterial culture as soon as possible, and then according to the results to selecte the sensitive antibiotic is the way to reduce resistance。...
