The thesis studied on the performance evaluation of S Prison Hospital. Police in the prison hospital is special group with assessing performance system full accordance with civil servant, however the assessing system will be not effective on enhancing the performance of individual or group, if cannot distinguish the jobs' characters and responsibilities, on the contrary to simply utilizing the assessing system of civil servant. The study was initiated in following steps: firstly, described the basic information of the hospital; secondly, objectively analysis the status of the assessment of performance in the hospital; thirdly, explored the problems and rooted the reasons which existed in the performance assessing of the hospital's police; fourthly, classified the Prison Hospital jobs into Administrative categories, professional and technical categories, the security alert category, and logistics service category on the basis of analysis of jobs' characters; fifthly, established the performance assessing system through redesigning the assessing system on the five aspects morals/ability/diligence/achievement/clean, setting the indicators and the indicators' weight and combining the sheets of working on log/self-evaluation/performance improvement/performance appraisal feedback; at last, assessed the performance of the Prison Hospital' police on the three levels of the assessing person, the direct leadership and the hospital performance through the methods of 360°assessment, evaluation of key indicators in qualitative and quantitative aspects. The Prison Hospital performance evaluation should be more scientific, objective, fair and effective with the overall considerations on analyzing on conflict of assessment, evaluating the results of appeals, stressing communication feedback in performance appraisal process, enhancing the promoting of performance evaluation. It is also anticipated that the new performance assessing system will enhance the performance of polices in the Prison Hospital, and develop their abilities, so that good perform the functions of prison hospital and enhance the level of rehabilitation treatment.
