A Study On Higher Education And Development Of TCM Ethnic Medicine In Xinjiang

Objective: The thesis analyied the development of the current TCM's ethnic medicine in Xinjiang ,including the estebilishment of the educational institutions, education scales, education levels, curriculum, and the cultivation of the talents, exc. The study is to know about the direction of the development of TCM's ethnic medicine in Xinjiang, the trend of the arrangment of speciality, and meanwhile offer the theoretical evidence to the development of TCM's ethnic medicine . Methods: Such methods are used as available information, Delphi, interviews, questionnaires and surveys to collect the information.Microsoft.Excell2000 soft ware is used for data input and SPSS15.0 statistical package is adopted to test data andχ~2 test. Result : The level and quality of the whole staff need to be improved, the basic teaching condition of TCM's ethnic higher education in Xinjiang is acceptable and possible. Its teaching and research condition need to be enhanced and strengthened as well. The level and quality the talents are also needed to be raised. Conclusion : Improve the overall level of teaching staff; strengthen the basic education and enhance the quality of teaching; meanwhile mare a survey on their social demands ,adjust the curriculum and curriculum setting, and put more emphasis on postgraduate education. Besides, geographical features need to be emphasized and the cooperation with other universities home and abroad need to be enhanced.
