Research Of Nursing Students' Training Situation In Clinical Practice

ObjectiveThe purpose of this research is to investigate the nursing ethical behaviors of nursing students in the clinical practice,and its correlated factors.Based on this study,some reference and method will be raised which can promote the students' nursing ethical behaviors and make the teaching more effective.MethodsA self-made questionnaire on the nursing ethical behaviors is applied to survey 347 nursing students at clinical practice,who come from two nursing colleges in Shandong province.The questionnaire was authorized to have good face validity by several professors.Its content validity is also good,and the Content Validity Index(CVI) is 0.94. The test-retest reliability is 0.93.And the Cronbach's=0.873,it means the questionnaire has good equivalence reliability.All the data was analyzed by using the SPSS 12.0.The statistic analysis methods included statistic description,paired-samples T test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis,and multiple stepwise analyses.ResultsThe result of statistic description is①The total score of nursing students' ethical behaviors was 151.19±14.15;The sequence according to the various dimensions score from high to low is justice,respect,scrupulosity,inner concentration,emotion;②The total score of clinical teachers' guiding behaviors was 151.38±21.42;Its sequence according to the various dimensions score from high to low is scrupulosity,justice,inner concentration,respect,emotion;③The total score of nurses' ethical behaviors was 143.70±20.23;Its sequence according to the various dimensions score from high to low is justice,scrupulosity,inner concentration,respect,emotion.Compare nursing students' ethical behaviors with standard behaviors,clinical teachers' guiding behaviors with standard behaviors,nurses' ethical behaviors with standard behaviors,clinical teachers' guiding behaviors with nurses' ethical behaviors, separately by using paired-t test.The difference of the four groups was all significant,and the results shows in every group,there is difference between them.The results of using t-test and one-way ANOVA show that the difference from that,the nursing students from different school and having different educational background,is no significant,their ethical behavior is consistent.Person correlation analysis showed that the variables which had intimate relationship to the nursing students' ethical behaviors were nurses' demonstration(r=0.730),clinical teachers' guidance(r=0.605),the contradiction between nurses' demonstration and clinical teachers' guidance(r=-0.124),the incomplete coincidence between nurses' demonstration and standard behavior(r=-0.730) and the age of nursing students(r=-0.119). Multiple regress analysis showed that the factors affecting the nursing students' ethical behavior were nurses' demonstration,clinical teachers' guidance and the age of nursing students.The three explanted 54.2%of the variance in the nursing students' behaviors at clinical practice.ConclusionThe present situation of nursing students' behaviors is unoptimistic,and various dimensions and total behaviors all have differences with standard behaviors.And the behaviors of nursing students laid particular emphasis on the behaviors which is defined by rules and law,emphasized by teachers repeatedly in teaching process,and the results of behaviors is serious and easy to see.But the behaviors which are emphasized fewer, behaviors,whose consequence is not easy to see and which is in the self- supervisory circumscription,were easy to be ignored.The correlate variables with nursing students' behaviors were nurses' demonstration,clinical teachers' guidance,the contradiction between nurses' demonstration and clinical teachers' guidance,the incomplete coincidence between nurses' demonstration and standard behavior and the age of nursing students.And among them,nurses' demonstration,clinical teachers' guidance and the age of nursing students are the factors of the nursing students behaviors.Moreover,the influence of nurses' demonstration is stronger than the clinical teachers' guidance.
