Influencing the rhythm of brain electricity of organism by physical factors has always been an attractive task in the field of Biomedical Science. Especially as the in-depth understanding of the different sleep states, the mechanism of memory, and the relationship between sleep and memory increasingly become the focus of the study. Based on the analysis of the different states of sleep and the work process of memory in the each state, especially the process how brain handle memory under slow wave sleep (SWS), we propose to couple an alternating magnetic field which simulates the rhythm of human brain potentials into the sleep-including area to speed the brain into the slow wave sleep. To give voice stimulation with the similar frequency to EEG under such a condition, utilize the capabilities of memory encoding under slow wave sleep, make the voice stimulation coupled to memory process to increase and promote the memory effect.Under the theory, a voice broadcast system that using Atmega128 chip for control core, VS1003 system for the audio decoder chip, a SD card as a storage medium and the magnetic coupling stimulation coil has been designed. The complete software for magnetic stimulation control and sound player was programmed into the chip. The system with the promotion of memory based on magnetic stimulation was successfully developed. The system may play different length and format of audio files as need, convenient to access, easy to operate. Finally, clinical trials have been done and achieved satisfactory results. The whole apparatus designed from the practicality. The use will not have any discomfort. Through experiments show that the system is helpful for increasing memory, it not only verifies the theory of reasonable and feasible, as well as opened a new application area for magnetic stimulation, to provide a new way to improve memory. The system has provided valuable experience for subsequent research.
