| Prince's-feather fruit (Fruits Polygoni Orientalis) is the dried and ripe fruit of Polygounum orientale L.,which belongs to Polygonum of Polygonaceae.It has the functions of dispersing stasis blood and mass gathering in the abdomen, relieving food retention and alleviating pain.Pharmacodynamics research has the result that the crude drug has the better fuction of dispersing stasis blood and mass gathering in the abdomen, and the prodessed product has the more drug action of the other. Both of them have the effect in vitro cancer-restraining.This dissertation is to study and research the changes of the chemical compositions by comparing the HPLC finger printers, the chemical compositions of expressed oil and the anti-neoplastic pharmacologic actions before and after processed. in the same time, the chemical compositions of processed product are isolated and identified; 5 methods ware selected to identify the best processing methods of princes- feather fruit, taxifolin and quercetin content as the index; the study is overall and systemic on the quality specification of processed product by chromatographic technique, assaying of extractum and active components and so on.1.The study on the chemical compositions :1.Ten monomers have been isolated form petroleum ether part and acetic ether part and 9 were identified by physico-chemical and spectral methods including icosanoic acid(1),β-sitosterol(2), betulinic acid(3), 22-O-(4-Hydroxy-3-methoxy-cinnamyl)- docosanoic acid(4), 3,5,7-trihydrochromone(5), Paprazine(6), quercetin(7), taxifolin(8), Daucosterol(9). Among them, monomers 4 was a new compound and 1, 3, 6 were isolated for the first time from Prince's-feather fruit. 2. GC-MS method was established to compare the chemical compositions of expressed oil of crude and processed product. The sort of chemical compositions in espresses oil has been get up after processed, and the linoleate which was the major composition in crud product hasn't been detected in processing product.3. Apply HPLC to set up the finger print of crude and processed product, taxifolin as the standard preparation. The chemical composition get marked change after processed, 18 of them were the new peaks in preparation, 6 peak areas have been get up, 5 peak areas disappeared. 4. Microwave digestion/ICP-MS was used to determine the contents of 25 kind of microelement in Prince's-feather fruit processed.2.The vitro-cytotoxic experiments of compound and crude extract from crude and processed product. The anti-neoplastic pharmacologic action are sieved on four kind of passage cells of cancer of SGC7901,Hela,MCF-7,A375-S2 and HepG2, for four kinds of crude extracts and one index compositions in water extracts part and acetic ether part of crude and processed materials, and for compoundsⅢ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ, all of them have the effect in vitro cancer-restraining. 3.
