Objective Three dimensional reconstruction technology has always been a hot topics in its research and application at home and abroad, and has great value for clinic medicine. To reconstruct a 3D digitizing model of the facial cranium on personal computer will reduce great cost of the high-equipped, spinal CT machine and offer great convenience . It will provide reliable anatomic structure and data for clinical experiments, and surgical planning. On the other hand , this 3D-anatomic model can be significant for basic research and teaching.Methods A healthy man,51-year-old, was chosen randomly and given CT scanning from the canthomeatal line to the whole skull by 64 spinal CT computer. The man was given supine position. At last, we got 754 pieces of sectional image on the CT machine, which were in the DIC0M3. 0 form. They are transferred to personal computer and transformed into the bmp form by Mimics software. Then, it was imported into Amira 3D digitizing software, in which the data was read and the image was dealt with by several steps. Finally, we achieved the 3D digitizing model of the facial cranium on personal computer.Results A 3D model of the facial cranium was established by using digital human data on personal computer with CT image. The model was fine to show the anatomical structure of the facial cranium ,and could be observed separately or integrally .On the other hand ,it could rotate, separate , enlarge and contract randomly in any direction on your own purpose.Conclusion A digital 3D model of the facial cranium has been completed by using Amira medical reconstruction software, which solves the traditional question that Depends on CT computer. What's more, it sets up an important step for three dimensional reconstruction technique to widely use on personal computer and pushes the medical image study technology to a broader new stage. |
