ObjectiveTo get sulcus tissue from the living heart and making the atrionector tissueslice. To describe and reconstruct the atrionector shape using Amira software,measure atrionector data; provide the reference frame for basic research andclinical application.MethodsTo select12adult sheep of similar age and weight, no limit in male orfemale. Taking out their heart atrionector fixed, paraffin embedding, sectioningand staining. Using the microscopic to find out the general borderline ofatrionector and surrounding tissues, using Amira software to takethree-dimensional reconstruction of sheep atrionector, to mensurate length anddistance and other parameters in vertical and horizontal diameter and ditch ofatrionector. All datas using SPSS16.0to analyze, expressed as a mean±standard deviation.ResultsThe whole shape of sheep’s atrionector looks like wafer which is rough,broom shaped extends downward, going down to the mouth of the inferior venacava and located in the deep sulcus. The atrionector area of sheep’s heart is dyedpale, the cells components of atrionector mainly divide into P cells and T cellsand part sheep have atrionector central artery.The sheep atrionector can be divided into three parts.The head,as the firstpart,is an steric viewed inverted gourd-shaped which expands to the heartchamber, best development and largest volume, near to the inside of venous walland the long axis for the front and back (top, bottom); the tail part,as the secondone, is an steric viewed fusiformis, the direction of the epicardial enlargement,good growth, smaller than the head, there are constant across central artery of atrionector, long front direction; the third part is body part, located in themiddle position of atrionector which is trapezoidal, connecting the head and tail,and least developed.The longest diameter of atrionector is618.75±0.49μm, the maximumdiameter is175.61±0.98μm; the maximum distance between atrionector andsulcus terminalis surface is315.41±1.48μm and the shortest distance is64.58±0.82μm.ConclusionSheep atrionector location, cell composition is similar to humans and othermammals, only external morphology was different.
