Clinical And Experimental Study On Theraperapeutic Effects Of Jian Pi Bu Shen Fang In Chronic Renal Failure

Objective: To exploe the therapeutic effects of Jian Pi Bu Shen Fang (JPBSF) inpatients with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) and CRF model in rats.Methods: 1. Clinical study: 60 cases of CRF patients were randomly divided into 2groups. The Traditional Chinese Medicine group (TCMG, n=30) was treated with JPBSF (150ml, twice a day) and the Western medicine group (WMG, n=30) was treated with benazepril hydrochloride, 30 days was one course of treatment and all patients were treated 3 courses. The improviement condition of clinical symptoms were observed, and the serum BUN, Scr, Ccr, Ca , P and the content of 24h Urine protein were determined in two groups. 2. Experimental study: Fifty Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups; normal control; CRF model; TCMG and WMG groups. The CRF model was induced by intragastric administration with Adenine (250mg/kg, 1/d from 1th to 12th day, 1/2d from 13th to 24th day) in rats.The TCMG group was divided into low-dose and high dose groups. After the CRF model was succeed in rats, the TCMG was treated with two different dosages (30g/kg, 90g/kg) of JPBSF, the WMG was treated with benazepril hydrochloride (10mg/kg), the control and model groups were treated with physiological saline (10ml/kg/d) by gastric gavage once a daily for 4 weeks.The serum contents of BUN, Scr, Ca and P were determined. The pathological changes of renal was observed under light microscope after H-E staining.Results: 1.The results of clinical study: The total effective rate was higher in theTCMG (83.34%) than that the WMG (43.33%), there was significantly difeerences between two groups (p<0.01). The symptoms were improved after treatment in the two groups, the serum contents of BUN, Scr and 24h urine protein were decreased in two groups, The decrease effects of serum Scr and balance of Ca, and P was better in TCMG than that the WMG (p<0.01). 2.The results of expermental study: Compaered with the CRF mode group, the serum contents of BUN, and Scr were significantly decreased and improved the balance of Ca and P in TCMG and WMG (p<0.05), there was significantly difference between two groups(p<0.01). The pathological changes of renal was lighter in TCMG and WMG than that the CRF mode group, and it was lightest in the high-dose of TCMG.Conclusion: 1. The JPBSF can obviously improve the symptoms of "spleen and kidney" and renal function in patients with CRF. 2. The JPBSF can obviously improve the renal function and pathological injury in CRF model induced by Adenine.
