| Objective: the goal of this clinical experiment is to probe the mechanism andtherapeutic effect of shen shuai I hao on treating chronic renal failure (CRF) .Methods: 60 patients with CRF of Yang deficiency in the spleen and kidneywith turbidity-stasis stagnancy were divided into 2 group at random. Eachgroup is 30 cases. On the base the observing group took shen shuai I hao, thecontrol group took Niao du qing. The Course of treatment is 2 months, beforeand after experiment, we assayed the patient's BUN Scr Ccr RBC Hb blood CaP K ,recorded the change of patient's clinical symptoms, at last observed thetreating chronicResults: (1)in the observing group. The effect of clinical symptoms were betterthan control group(P<0.05). (2)The observing group could improve the patientsclinical symptoms, decrease the clinical symptom score, increase Hb RBC. Itseffect was better than control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05). (3)The both groups hadno influence on blood Ca P K.Conclusion: Shen shuai I hao improve renal function clinical symptoms andpatients' anaemia. Its therapy could remarkable retard the rate of progression ofCRF.
