Studies On The Chemical Constituents Of Xanthochrous Hispidus (Bull.exfr.)Pat.

Xanthochrous hispidus (Bull.exfr.)Pat.,a weed of the Xanthochrous family,is widely used as a tradition Chinese folk medicine to cure cancer. Previous studies inform that Xanthochrous hispidus (Bull.exfr.)Pat. can enhance immunity. Studies on chemical constituents of Xanthochrous hispidus (Bull.exfr.)Pat. have been done and eight compounds have been isolated . By means of chemical and spectral analyses and by comparison with some reference standards, they were determined as:3β,21-dihydroxy-lanosta-8,24-diene(Ⅰ), ergosterol (Ⅱ),eburicoic acid(Ⅲ), ergosterol-5,8-peroxide(Ⅳ), D-Arabitol(Ⅴ), hexadecoic acid(Ⅵ), octadecanoic acid(Ⅶ)and D- glucose(Ⅷ).Meanwhile,we studies on 3β,22-dihydroxy-lanosta-8,24-diene's ability to cure cancer. The result show that 3β,21- dihydroxy- lanosta- 8,24-diene can restrain cancer cell. In the same time we determined contains of ergosterol and polysaccharide in Xanthochrous hispidus (Bull.exfr.)Pat.
