ObjectiveTo learn the risk behaviors of FSWs in the central city district of Pingdingshan, as well as the current conditions of receiving VCT and the influencing factors,and to provide evidence for the decision-making of government for those who have risk behaviors.1.To learn the risk behaviors among FSWs in the central city district of Pingdingshan.2.To learn the HIV/AIDS knowledge of FSWs in the central city district of Pingdingshan.3.To learn the current conditions of VCT conducting of Pingdingshan4.To identify the influencing factors associated with the acceptability of VCT among FSWsMethodsThe survey was conducted through two-stages sampling in the given time.A structured questionnaire was designed to obtain information on FSWs demographic characters,the cognition and knowledge of HIV/AIDS,behaviors,the acceptability and influencing factors.The blood were also collected to carry out HIV testing. Descriptive analysis and chi square test were applied.Results87.25%are willing to accept VCT.92.07%have never received VCT,including 69.12%have an idea of unnecessary to test.20.92%have never heard of VCT and 25.85%are unaware of the VCT sites.48.31%are afraid of discrimination following the testing,31.72%are afraid of the increasing of psychological pressure.10.46%felt it's unnecessary to test.Being aware of VCT service and the sexual transmission of HIV are significantly associated with the willing of accept VCT.ConclusionThe social mobilization and intervention are not enough,the aware of VCT is poor and the testing rate is low.The influencing factors of the acceptability of VCT are complicated,the risk of infection and transmission of HIV are high.The propaganda of HIV/AIDS knowledge and VCT service should be strengthened,and focus on the scaling up of VCT among FSWs.
