| The roots of Indigofera spp have been used as main substitutes for traditional Chinese drug"ShanDouGen"in many provinces of China, and usually called"MuLanShanDouGen". Chemical study of the roots of Indigofera kirilowii, one of the main resources of"MuLanShanDouGen"resulted in the identification of a series of 3-nitropropanoyl-D-glucopyranoses, some of which comprised acryloyl group rarely observed in natural products research. In order to make the best of the plant resources, we studied the chemical constituents of the leaves and stems of Indigofera kirilowii.Nine compounds were isolated and purified from the aqueous alcohol extracts of the stems and leaves of Indigofera kirilowii by solvent extraction, silica gel column chromatography, gelatum gel column chromatography and re-crystallization. On the basis of modern spectral analysis (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, HMQC, COSY, HMBC) and co-TLC analysis, the structures of eight compounds were determined. From the leaves, seven compounds were identified as lupeol (IKLP-2),β-sitosterol (IKLP-1), kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside (IKLB-1), isorhamnetin-3-O–rutinoside (IKLB-2), quercetin-3-O-glucoside (IKLB-3), alangioside A (IKLB-4), and rutin (IKLBU-3). Glucosyringic acid (IKLB-5) was isolated from the stems. IKLB-2,IKLB-4,IKLB-5 were isolated from the genus Indigofera for the first time. According to our experiment results, the content of the rutin of the leaves and stems of I. kirilowii is much high and about 8-10%。In this thesis, we also summarized the studiy on botanical characteristic, chemical components, bioactivities and clinical applications of Indigofera species and the structures of megastigmane-type sesquiterpenoids. |
