Objective: To observe the effect on TUM2-PK in serum of MPE rat model and bFGF in its membrana pleuralis treated by Zhu Yin I with DDP, and approach the mechanisms of Zhu Yin I anti-MPE.Method: To set up MPE rat model with EAC, 60 rats were divided into five groups at random: blank group, model group, Chinese materia medica group, DDP group and Chinese materia medica with DDP group, so there were 12 rats in each group. Rats in every group were given administered by intragastric administration with Chinese materia medica or peritoneal injection with DDP except blank group. Then we detected TUM2-PK in MPE rat model's blood serum by ELISA, and determined bFGF in model's membrana pleuralis by immunohistochemistric method.Result:1. There were higher TUM2-PK expression in model group than blank group, which showed statistical significant deviation (p<0.01) . TUM2-PK expression was lower in Chinese materia medica group, DDP group and Chinese materia medica with DDP group than in model group, and it also had significant deviation in statistics (p<0.01) . Its content were similar in Chinese materia medica group and in DDP group, which showed no significant deviation (p>0.05) . But TUM2-PK expressed lower in Chinese materia medica with DDP group, and there was significant deviation in the comparison.2. Compared with blank group, there was more bFGF expression in model group, and showed significant deviation (p<0.01). bFGF in Chinese materia medica group, DDP group and Chinese materia medica with DDP group expressed lower than in model group, which showed Chinese materia medica group ( p<0.01) . It showed nearly in Chinese materia medica group and DDP group , and this comparison was no significant deviation (p>0.05) .But bFGF expression was much lower in Chinese materia medica with DDP group than in Chinese materia medica group and DDP group, so it had statistical significance.Conclusion:1. Zhu Yin I with DDP could degrade TUM2-PK in blood serum of MPE rat model.2. Zhu Yin I with DDP could inhibit bFGF expression in its membrana pleuralis.3. It could inhibit MPE and tumor metastasis through degrading TUM2-PK in blood serum and bFGF expression in membrana pleuralis.
