Objective:To research the change of serum adiponectin(APN), nitric oxide(NO)and plasma endothelininsulin(ET)in the diabetic peripheral neuropathy. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship among serum APN,NO and plasma ET in the diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods:58 patients with diabetes mellitus, including 30 patients with DPN,28 patiens without DPN,and 30 healthy controls were enrolled in this study.Enzyme-inked immunosor bent assay(ELISA)was applied to measuring serum level of adiponectin(APN).Ntrate reduction test was applied to measuring serum level of nitric oxide(NO). Radioactivity immunoassay was applied to measuring serum level of endothelininsulin.Results:1.The levels of APN and NO in patients with DPN and DM were markedly lower than those of the normal group(P<0.01),in patients with DPN were markedly lower than those of the DM group(P<0.05).The levels of ET in patients with DPN and DM were higher than those of the normal group(P<0.01,P<0.05),in patients with DPN were markedly higer than those of the DM group(P<0.01).2.There was a positive correlation between APN and NO in patients with overt DNP(r=0.432,P<0.05),a negative correlation between NO and ET in patients with overt DNP(r=0.g4,P<0.05).There were no correlation among APN,NO and ET in patients with DM or normal group(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The decresing of serum APN and NO and the incresing plasm ET are involved in the process of DNP and related to the disease activity.2.There are a closely relationship of NO and APN in the process of DNP.
