Questionnaire Of Cancer Resident Patients In Western Hospital If Receive Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment

Objective:To explore the intention of cancer resident patients in western hospital if receive Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment, so as to provide hospital whether or how to apply TCM treatment to cancer patients to get more curative effect or to improve guality of life besides the appliance of western medicine.Methods:The cases of patient were adopted from famous XiangYa Medical College First,Second and Third Affiliated Hospitals' cancer resident patients at random sample. There were 204 cases responsed totally with presered 42 pieces questions under proper questionnaire principals, thus to analyze the data ratio and to realize the patients' intention.Results:1,Cancer patients choose western medical treatment as the first priority, while expect TCM treatment only as to relax the side off symptoms and to improve quality of life.2,Cancer patients look up western medical treatment can cure or relax symptoms to prolong survival time and health, but somehow worry western medicine would occur body uncomfortableness and the side effect symptoms. 3,The questionnaire research shows there are 97.8% cancer patients believe that TCM might curative, and also up to 90% having the will to take TCM treated in the same time when western medicine treated.Conclusion:1,Though cancer patients look western medical treatment as the first priority, while in their minds not only believe in TCM but also have the will to take TCM treated in the same time when western medicine treated.2,Patients believe that Cancer under western medical treatment accompanied with TCM treatment in the same time can both relax their body suffering and side effect symptoms positively.
