Objective Subcortical arteriosclerotic encephalopathy(SAE),also known as Binswanger disease,(BD),is a common small vascular dementia and impacts significantly living quality of patients.Even though small vessel disease has an unconspicuous symptom, this disease has potential risks for patients and associates with various cerebral apoplexy events. As a result, more and more people concern about this disease and studying the treatments in future has an important significance.Government and enterprise invest capital to Coal wokers' pneumoconiosis(CWP) patients. For this reason more effort than ever should be made to prolong patients' lifespan and to improve their life quality,so as do research on relativity of BD and CWP.In this paper we devote to research on relativity and correlation degree between BD and CWP in order to help coal woker patients with Penumoconiosis in terms of clinical treatment and life guidance.Methords:(1) 290 CWP patients who were randomly sampled from coal wokers in certain colliery during 1987 to 1992 were matched to 840 coal miners who have no symptoms of CWP.(2)compare items:clinical stage of CWP,age, education degree, history of apoplexy, history of hypertension, history of diabetes, history of hyperlipidemia, smoking history, drinking history.Check items:blood glucose, blood lipid, blood pressure, pulmonary function. (3) data analyzing:All the data will be typed into a database and analyzed by using statistic software SPSS13.0.Results:1) The incidence of BD in CWP group is higher than that in counter group. The incidence of BD in stageⅡCWP group is higher than that in stageⅠCWP group.2) A variety of factors such as CWP,haemoglobin, pulmonary function, time of smoking cigarette, and type of apoplexy are significantly correlated with BD.OR:3.822(95%CI1.676-8.714),3.590 (95%CI2.175-5.925),4.061(95%CI2.126-7.760),2.534(95%CI1.856-3.485),11.592 (95%CI6.975-19.265)。Conclusions:CWP is a relative risk factor of BD morbidity. As the stage of CWP is rising, the incidence of BD show a remarkable increasing trend.
