Study On Correlation Between BMI, NC, PSN-P, MP-H And AHI In Patients With Phlegm-dampness Constitution

Objection : this study focuses on the relationship between BMI, NC, PSN -P, MP-Hand AHI in patients with phlegm-dampness constitution, and providesguideline for the treatment of OSAS.Method : the subjects are mainly from sleep center o f Guang Anmen hospital, withchief complain of snoring. Once their general exam and assessment of ESS met thecriteria, they accept the examination of PSG , X-ray cephalometry , and phlegm-dampness constitution scoring(PDCS). The data of BMI, NC, PSN-P, MP-Hand AHI w as analyzed with Pearson correlation and multiple regression of SAS7.0.Result : BMI, NC and MP-H have obvious correlation with AHI, and the R value is0.55408, 0.53899 and 0.4544respectively; PSN-P has a less obvious correlation withAHI, and the R value is 0.30965. With the analysis of multiple regressions, we got aline correlation between BMI, MP-H and AHI, which is AHI=3.49372×BMI+1.32635×MP-H-82.66225.Conclusion : both BMI and MP-H have an important proportion in the pathogenesisof OSAS patients with phlegm-dampness constitution, and MP-H is more importantthan PSN-P, so MP-H should be considered with operation for OSA H S. OSAHS hashigh correlation with BMI, which indicates that OSAS patients are phlegm-dampnessconstitution. So the TCM treatment can be applied to regulate the constitution forimproving the effect of operation and the compliance of CPAP treatment.
