It has the rich pharmacology activity without the side effect, and has been widely applied in clinic. The honeysuckle has a big development potential whose resources are very rich in china.With the traditional polysaccharide extraction method, namely,the hot water immersion extraction, the grain alcohol precipitation,precipitates are washed repeatedly with 85% grain alcohol, 95% grain alcohol, the absolute grain alcohol, and the acetone, and then vacuum dried with P2O5, it will gain polysaccharide rough product of honeysuckle. In the monofactorial experiment process, the different extraction temperature, steep ratio , the extraction time and soak frequency will have an effect on the extraction rate. The factor and the level of orthogonal test has been fixed according to the monofactorial experiment, and the extraction condition been optimized through the orthogonal experiment. After Comparing primary and secondary relations of main factors which influence extraction rate , the best extraction craft has been determined. the monosaccharide content in this polysaccharide has been determined through the phenol - sulfuric acid method, and the monosaccharide composition in the sample has also been determined through the gas phase chromatography, finally the molecular weight distribution of the sample has been measured. This paper takes the honeysuckle polysaccharide as the object of study, the goal lies in exploring its polysaccharide which has not been discovered and its biological activity, and providing the basic data for further development. The paper result is as follows:1. The main influential condition of honeysuckle polysaccharide extraction is the extraction temperature, steep ratio , the extraction time and soak frequency.Based on the monofactorial experiment, the different extraction temperature, steep ratio , the extraction time and soak frequency will have an effect on the extraction rate.2. The conditions of the best extraction craft which was gain through orthogonal experiment : The temperature is 90℃, steep ratio is 1:10, soak frequency is 2 times, each time 60 minutes.3. The polysaccharide content in the honeysuckle samples has been determined through the phenol - sulfuric acid method.4. The monosaccharide composition in the samples has been determined through the gas phase chromatography. the honeysuckle samples possibly includes rhamnose, gum sugar,seminose, galactose and glucose and so on.5.
