Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, usually found in adolescent, is rare diseases, also called inflammatory pseudo-neoplasm in the passed years. It can rise from all over the organ of the body, such like skin, abdominal membrane, spleen, lung, bladder, colon etc. the etiological factors are not very clear. In 2002, World health organization classification of tumors recommends renaming the disease as inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor belonging to the fibroblast and myofibroblastic tumor. In 1953, Pack and Baker first report inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of liver as a rare disease. From that time, we can see more and more case's report about this disease. because of the diagnosis of the disease of imageology is untypical. Its preoperative diagnosis is very difficult. It is always misdiagnosed as other liver pathological changes. There is no union diagnostic standard and treatment method. In this article , the auther wants to summarize the experience in diagnosis and treatment of liver inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor by reviewing articles been published.
