Influence Of Meridian-harmonizing Combined With Zangfu Organ-regulating Acupuncture On Acute Cerebral Infarction In Patients With Hemiplegia

Objective To investigate the influence of Meridian-harmonizing combined with Zangfu organ-regulating Acupuncture on acute cerebral infarction in patients with hemiplegia.Methods One hundred and fifty hemiplegia patients with acute cerebral infaction were randomly divided into three groups:Meridian-harmonizing Acupuncture group(Group one),Zangfu organ-regulating Acupuncture group(Group two),and Treatment group(Meridian-harmonizing combined with Zangfu organ-regulating Acupuncture group,also Group three).With four deletions,there were still forty-eight cases of Group one,forty-nine cases of Group two,and forty-nine cases of Group three involved in the analysis of results.The prescription for Group one(Prescription one)was:Hegu(LI 4)and Taichong(Liv 3);Jianyu(LI 15),Naoshu(SI 10),Waiguan(SJ 5),Neiguan(P 6),Huantiao(GB 30),Biguan(ST 31),Yanglingquan(GB 34),Fenglong(ST 40),and Sanyinjiao(SP 6)of abnormal side.The prescription for Group two(Prescription two)was:Zhongwan(Ren 12),Xiawan(Ren 10),Qihai(Ren 6),Guanyuan(Ren 4), Daheng(SP 15),Huaroumen(ST 24)of abnormal side,Wailing(ST 26)of abnormal side,Shangfengshidian and Xiafengshidian of abnormal side.The prescription for Group three(Prescription three)was:Prescription one plus Prescription two.All patients got the basic treatment including anti-hypertension, anti-diabetics,rehabilitation activities,and so on.Patients were evaluated by Barthel Index,Modified Fugl-Meyer(FMMS),SS-QOL and Brunnstrom Scale before treatment,immediately after treatment,and 3 months after stroke.Results Intra-group comparison:All the three treatments had significant differences in improving BI Indexes and SS-QOL score,lowering the disability rate,upgrading Fugl-Meyer rank and score of the affected limb,urging the abnormal mode of the affected limb to become normal(Brunnstrom Scale)after treatment(P＜0.05).And the therapeutic effect kept up to 3 months after stroke(P＜0.05).But there wash' t any synergism without treatment(P＞0.05). Inter-group comparison:The analysis of immediately after treatment and 3 months after stroke showed that the Treatment group was better than Group one or Group two in improving BI Indexes and Fugl-Meyer score of the affected limb, lowering the disability rate(P＜0.05).Also the Treatment group was better than Group one in upgrading Fugl-Meyer rank of the affected limb and was better than Group two in improving SS-QOL score(P＜0.05).Both Treatment group and Group two had equivalent effect in upgrading Fugl-Meyer rank of the affected limb while both Treatment group and Group one had equivalent effect in improving SS-QOL score(P＞0.05).Both Group one and Group two had equivalent effects in improving BI Indexes and SS-QOL score,lowering the disability rate, and upgrading Fugl-Meyer rank and score of the affected limb(P＞0.05).All the three groups had equivalent effects in urging the abnormal mode of the affected limb to become normal(Brunnstrom Scale,P＞0.05).Conclusions For hemiplegia patients with acute cerebral infarction, Meridian-harmonizing combined with Zangfu organ-regulating Acupuncture has a better overall therapeutic effect than single Meridian-harmonizing Acupuncture or Zangfu organ-regulating Acupuncture.It could promote the extremity motor function of patients comprehensively,lower the disability rate,and improve survival quality.As a new theory and therapy, Meridian-harmonizing combined with Zangfu organ-regulating Acupuncture is of profound significance for hemiplegia patients with acute cerebral infarction. And it is worth further studying and extending.
