Effect Of Warming Yang Dis Pelling Dampness And Draining Collateral Method To The Polyalcohol Metabolic Pathway Of Diabetes Mellitus Peripheral Neuropathy

Objective:To observe the effect of warming yang dis pelling dampness and draining collateral method to the peripheral nerve conduction velocity (SCV) and the polyalcohol metabolic pathway of diabetes mellitus peripheral neuropathy patients. Methods: The selected eighty patients who were final diagnosed of diabetes mellitus peripheral neuropathy and belong to wetstagnation with yin sathenia were randomly devided into treatment group and control group, each group has 40 patients. The dietary therapy and the basic treatment of the two groups are the same. The treatment group patients take the traditional Chinese drug decoction which can wanning yang dis pelling dampness and draining collateral. The control group patients take methycobal tablets. The course of treatment of the two groups are four weeks. Obserbe the chang of patients' peripheral ner ve conduction velocity and polyalcohol metabolic index(the activity of aldose reductase, erythrocyte sorbitol, Na+—K+—ATP ]enzyme) before and after treatment. Results:(1) The curative effect of the twe groups patients is 83.33% and 54.55% partly after treatment. The treatment group is inferior to the control group, and there is statistics significance(P<0.05). warming yang dis pelling dampness and draining collateral method can improve the sensory conduction velocity or the popliteal nerve and peroneal nerve, decurtate action potential delitescence. The curative effect is inferior to Methycobal(P<0.05).(2)The two groups patients' the activity of aldose reductase and the content of erythrocyte sorbitol are breakdown, and the activity of Na+—K+—ATP enzyme is increase after treatment. The treatment group is inferior to the control group in the improvement of the index.(P<0.05). Conclusions: traditional Chinese drug of warming yang dis pelling dampness and draining collateral method can elevate the patients' peripheral ner ve conduction velocity and inhibit the polyalcohol metabolic pathway. The curative effect is inferior to Methycobal.
