Purpose: 1.To find the status and characteristics of well-being of health care staffs in general hospitals;2. to find the influential factors of well-being of health care staffs in general hospitals;3. to propose some counter measures to upgrade the level of medical staffs'well-being from all aspects and provide some references for the hospital management department to make scientific decisions.Methods:We have selected 390 staffs from Jiangxi people's Hospital and the fouth affiliated hospital of Nanchang university ; we have evaluated for any one with Multiple Happiness Questionnaire(MHQ); we have analyzed data with SPSS 13.0 soft ware.Results: (1)The reliability and validity of MHQ is good, so the scale suits for measuring the well-being of health care staffs.(2)The level of total happiness of medical staffs in general hospital is 6.30±1.19, which is higher than college students and military personnel and has no difference with the elderly.(3)Coming from city, be married, length of service below 10 years, lower job title, higher education level, higher income, better health status of self-evaluation, more hobbies, longer leisure time during a week, lower pressure, coping styles initiatively and more clear objectives affect medical staffs'well-being actively. (4)Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the significance of factors which influence the overall well-being level of medical staff followed by education level, job title, stress and weekly leisure time.Strategies: We propose strategies for improving medical staffs'well-being according to the results:1creating a positive social environment to reduce the pressure of medical staffs;2establishing the well-being evaluation system to develop a reasonable happiness measurement standards;3Adhering to the scientific development concept and building a harmonious hospital;4to establish a new management philosophy and strengthen the vocational management awareness;5to optimize the performance appraisal system and improve personnel training system;6managers playing a positive role and creating a happy atmosphere;7medical personnel should remain positive and progressive attitude of the pleasure, train the capacity of setbacks bearing, vent negative emotions, learn communication skills and create a good professional image.
