Comparison And Analysis Classification Program In National Games For The Disabled And Paralympic Games

The biggest difference between sports for the disabled and able-bodied people is disable athletes must take classification;it is a particulars of disabled sport.To ensure the games would be an equal and safe competition,classification is principal.Now neither international nor internal classification has not get consummate,it is ongoing.Especially in our country there are many problems.To put more emphasis on the classification work and further develop it is also and crucial step for our Chinese disabled athletes to participate more international competitions. Through the training of staffs with professional skills of classification,esp.classifiers, people would know more about the development and future direction of classification.So that they could provide guidance for the selection and training of Chinese disabled athletes. The thesis will analyze national and international classification work from the aspect of Paralympic Games and national games for the disabled.The thesis will compare and analyze international and internal classification,and discuss the strategy of classification in national disabled sport.Though researches on documents,interviews with experts,analysis on statistics and comparison among examples,the author compared the differences and similarities of Paralympic Games and the National games for the disabled from the aspects of classification management,classification rules,classifiers and classification procedures. The conclusions are as follows:1,The classification work for the National games for the disabled is under the control and management NPC China.This will be beneficiary for the combination of classification, and competition work.2,The update of Chinese national classification work is always late and could not keep pace with the international standard,so latest information could not reach related people in time.3,From 1984 to 2007,the National games for the disabled don't have definite rules and regulations about classification work,this will bring some problems to the classification work and even the proceed of competition.4,The Chinese classifiers are not enough for the disabled sports needs,especially for the classifiers of international level.5,As for the National games for the disabled,we don't have definite regulations for the classification and dispute procedure,and their is no people especially in charge of this. All the disputes goes to the chief classifier,which make the chief classifier two functions at the same time and will bring confusion and problems to the dispute procedure. The advices as follows:1,It is very important to know the classification in disabled sport.2,Draw on classification experience in Paralympic Games,to make related classification system strictly.3,Constitute a equitable scientific slap-up classifier team.4,Strengthen classification knowledge more popularize in players and coaches.5,Make players and coaches have moral education.
