| Objectives:Senile vaginitis is a regular and relapsed clinical senile gynecopathy. It is correlated with the drop of the estrogen level. The pathological and physiological changes are vaginal dysbacteriosis, and the reduction of lactobacillus. At present, the treatment of senile vaginosis is by using antibiotics and supplying of small dose of estrogen. However, this kind of treatment could increase the possibility of tolerance, high relapses, endometrial cancer and breast cancer. This study evaluate the effectiveness of treatment by Living Preparation of Lactobacillus by studying vaginal micro-environmental balance.Methods:1 patient: 90 patients were set up in 3 groups by the criteria for senile vaginosis by Lejie (6 edition). The treatments for 3 groups were different: group I, took metronidazole 200mg for 7 days; group II, took metronidazole 200mg and beimeili which was used in vagina for 7 days; group III, took Living Preparation of Lactobacillus capsule 0.25g for 10days. Stop treatment 3-7 days and check every 1 month or 3 moths.2 result decision: we decide the results by the clinical symptom, biochemical criteria in vagina, pathological observation after treatment and relapses.Results:1 there are significant difference amid 3 groups in clinical symptom improvement. The group with Living Preparation of Lactobacillus had the highest efficiency 2 the leucocyte in vagina were reduced in all three groups after treatment, which inhibited the growth of nosogenetic bacteria. Living Preparation of Lactobacillus had great effect to improve the regenerate of lactobacillus in vagina3 Preparation of Lactobacillus can improve estrogen level in vagina4 there are significant difference amid 3 groups by comparing cure rate, 1moth and 3 month relapses. Living Preparation of Lactobacillus showed the best cure rate and lowest 1month and 3 month relapses.Conclusion:Living Preparation of Lactobacillus is a effective treatment for senile vaginitis and should be used in clinic...
