Methods: Data of 26 patients who were enrolled in the department of cardiology in the second affiliated hospital of Zhejiang Uinversity from 2004 to 2007 were reviewed. Results: In all cases, 20 (76.9%)had hypertension, 4 (15.4%)had coronary disease,2 (7.7%) had diabetes, and 1 had Marfan's syndrome(3.8%).All patients(100%) had pain,20(76.9%) of them were abrupt chest and(or)back pain ,and 16(61.5%) were tearing or knife-like. 7 patients died in hospital because of acute renal failure(l 1.5%) ,acute myocardial infarction (7.7%),stroke (3.8%) and infective endocarditis of AD (3.8%) .Conclusion: Clinic manifestations of AD are variable, and the imaging techniques are very important for diagnosis.
