Objective: To study the curative effect of the anemia pellet and the influence of anemia pellet on red blood cell immune adherence(RCIA) in rats model of the iron deficiency anemia(IDA).Methods: The 40 male four weeks old SPF rank SD rats, weight 100±20g/L, Hemoglobin (Hb)≥110g/L, were divided into 5 groups on the basis of weight at random. Those are normal group, model group, low dose of treatment group, middle dose of treatment group, high dose of treatment group. Each group had 8 rats. Except for normal group, each group rats were bleed 1 mL from caudal vein every other day for 5 times from the first day, and injected Cyclophspham ide into the abdominal cavity of the SD rat every other day for 6 times from the second day.We had measured blood routine examination,Serum Iron(SI) to prove IDA model were established. After succeeding in founding model, normal group and model group do not do any treatment, but the other 3 groups were treated by low dose of anemia pellet (1.75g/kg) , middle dose of anemia pellet (3.5g/kg), high dose of anemia pellet (7g/kg) by means of pouring stomach, once a day, lasting 12 days. The therapeutic effects of anemia pellet on IDA were observed with the changes of the general physicat status of the rats, Red Blood Cell (RBC),Hemoglobin (Hb),Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV),Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH),Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC), SI, Erythrocyte's CR1 activity.Results:1. From the sixth day of making IDA model, the rats start to be listlessness, fur become dim, lack of appetite and drink less amount of water, the weight of them grow slowly, even have no increase or loss of body weight gradually. Compared to normal group, the levels of RBC,Hb,SI are decline, P<0.05. And the average levels of Hb of the model groups' rats drop to about 95 g/L, then the IDA model were established.2. When the IDA model rats were established , the rosette rates of red blood cell C3b receptors (RBC-C3bR) of the model groups' rats hasn't a certain decline; the red blood cell immune complex (RBC-IcR) is much higher than the normal group(P<0.05).3. Treated by Anemia Pellet, the syndrome of each treatment groups is much better than the model group, and the syndrome of anemia has recovered gradually.4. Compared to the level of RBC,Hb before treated and of the model group, the levels of RBC,Hb of every treatment groups increase obviously(P<0.05).The level of SI of middle dose and high dose of treatment groups is higher than before and the model group (P<0.05) ;the level of SI of low dose of treatment group increased obviously(P<0.05), but it still close to the model group(P >0.05).5. Treated by Anemia Pellet,the RBC-C3bR of low dose of treatment group hasn't a certain increase, but the RBC-C3bR of middle and high dose of treatment group increase obviously (P<0.05), the RBC-IcR of each dose of treatment decline obviously(P<0. 01).Conclusion:1. Anemia Pellet might treat obviously on iron deficiency anemia model rats. It can make the clinical situation much more better and improve obviously the concentration of RBC,Hb,SI of IDA model rats.2. Middle dose and high dose of Anemia Pellet can increase IDA model rats' RBC-C3bR(P<0.05); each dose of Anemia Pellet can decline IDA model rats' RBC-IcR obviously(P<0.01).
