The Selection Of The New Classification And Surgical Therapy Of The Zygomatic-complex Fracture

Objective To approach a new reasonable classification and surgical therapy of the zygomatic-complex fracture. Methods 67 cases with zygomatic-complex fracture were underwent three dimension CT and classified according to the new classification; Clinical character ,choice of surgical therapy,methods and therapeutic efficacy for each kind of fractures were analyzed and all patients were evaluated post-operation according to function and profile. Results Surgical therapy from buccogingival sulcus or additional small incision were selected for class A zygomatic-complex fracture; additional approaches including coronal incision ,extra superciliary arch incision ,infraorbit or circumorbital incision for classes B-C. Conclusions The new classification of zygomatic-complex fracture is better guidance for post-operation measurement .The treatment for ZCF should be selected according to the fracture types. The cornal incision plus additional small incision has good exposure in dealing with complicated ZCF.
