Survey On Prevalence Of Pterygium In Da Li Ya Bo Yi Country Of Yu Tian City

Objective Pterygium is one of the major disease caused blindness in the last century . to investigate the prevalence of pterygium among the general population of Da Li Ya Bo Yi country of Yu Tian city,discuss the relationship among pterygium and area, gender,heredity,occupation ,cataract。Methods Cluster sampling was used in randomly selecting individuals among Da Li Ya Bo Yi country. A cross-section study was carried among 360 subjects answered 353 people, for pterygium epidemiology。Result In Da Li Ya Bo Yi country among the 353 people, prevalence of pterygium was 13.88%,17.64% in men,8.72% in weman , the difference had statistical significance(χ~2=5.734, P=0.017). There was a trend the prevalence of pterygium increased with age. in the age group of 60- years the prevalence of pterygium upto peak .Cataract and age are the dangerous factors for pterygium。Conclusion Pteryium is related to age,climate, profession and other relation metters. To improve the country medical situation , ameliorate living environment are the main perpose to decrease the pteryium prevalence.
