The Case-Control Study On Risk Factor Of Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective: Through case-control study, we expect to discover part of the potential risk factors of primary knee Osteoarthritis in Xingjiang province,in order to provide the basis for treatment and prevention, as well as provide further clues on Etiology.Method: Use non-Conditional Logistic regression analysis, first on the single-factor analysis of variables, then single-factor analysis of the variables into more meaningful non-factor Logistic regression model to estimate the risk factors in osteoarthritis of the knee incidence of relative risk. Thus selected osteoarthritis of the knee risk factors.Results: Results from univariate analysis showed that the following factors were statistically associated with the incidence of knee Osteoarthritis:age,sex,education, body weight,the dry climate and environment,professional sports training,low - intensity exercise habits,Henaicha,worship,sit cross-legged.These risk factors are:age (OR = 1.136,95% CI:1.056-1.223),gender (OR=2.768,95%CI:1.631-44.063),a low level of education (illiteracy),weight (OR = 1.210,95% CI:1.090-1.345), dry climate (OR = 102.780,95% CI:11.022-58.466), professional sports exercise (OR = 8.380,95% CI:4.185-60.746), Henaicha (OR = 11.080, 95% CI:2.458-49.950), worship (OR = 23.571,95% CI:2.091-65.755), sitting cross-legged (OR=5.099,95% CI:0.785-33.107).Protective factors include: high levels of education college or higher (OR = 0.010,95% CI:0.001-0.083),and low-intensity exercise habits (OR=0.524, 95% CI:0.290-0.948).Conclusions: knee Osteoarthritis of the by the onset of age,sex,education,body weight,the dry climate and environment,professional sports training,low- intensity exercise habits, Henaicha, the impact of worship.
