Objective To investigate the clinical significance of changes of serum ferritin (SF) and C-reactive protein(CRP) in Patients with coronary heart diseases(CHD). Methods Serum SF were detected with ELC, C-reactive protein were detected with ELISA in 50 of stability angina pectoris(SA),50 of unstability angina pectoris(UA) and 50 controls. Coronary heart diseases was diagnosed according to 1997, JNCVI criteria. Results (1)The levels of Hb in the patients of stability angina pectoris (141.7±13.45g/L) and unstability angina pectoris (143.09±12.28g/L) was not different with control group (141.36±9.04g/L), (P>0.05); (2)The levels of Hct in the patients of stability angina pectoris (0.4±0.06 L/L) and unstability angina pectoris (0.4±0.09 L/L) was not different with control group (0.4±0.06 L/L), (P>0.05); (3)The levels of serum SF in the patients of stability angina pectoris (141.7±13.45ng/ml) and unstability angina pectoris (143.09±12.28 ng/ml) was significantly higher than in control group (P<0.05), but SF was not different with SA and UA (P>0.05). (4)The levels of CRP in the patients of stability angina pectoris (295.6±153.04mg/L) and unstability angina pectoris (317.1±155.96mg/L) was significantly higher than in control group (153.2±43.70mg/L) (P<0.05). CRP was significantly different with SA and UA (P>0.05). (5) SF has positive correlation with CRP (P<0.01). Conclusion serum SF and CRP was closely related to the diseases process of coronary heart diseases and was of prognostic values.
