Lonicera macckii(Rupr.)Maxim. belongs to Lonicera genus of Caprifoliaceae family,also known as silver wood,chicken bones and dog spines,is widely distributed in the northeast region of China.Iridoid is the effective component of 75%EtOH extraction from Lonicera maackii(Rupr.)Maxim. Iridoids components has extensive biological activity e.g. reduce blood glucose,hepatic protection,anti-tumor,anti-virus,anti-oxidation,enhance immunity etc , which has a large exploitation potentiality.Now the chemical composition and pharmacological action research of Lonicera maackii(Rupr.)Maxim is seldom.To improve its application value, We studied the function of hepatic protection and reduce blood glucose,which made necessary preparations for further exploitation and utilization of Lonicera maackii(Rupr.)Maxim,and it is also a necessary preparation for the clinical application of this herb.This thesis mainly focused on several aspects shown below.1. This thesis reviewed the recent advances of Lonicera macckii(Rupr.)Maximand the plants of Lonicera genus.2. Second, review the biological activities of iridoid.3. The fruits of Lonicera maackii(Rupr.)Maxim will be broken up, with 75 percent ethanol solution of cold sleep, filter extracts, alcohol recovery after decompression concentrated in the alcohol extract of the Lonicera maackii(Rupr.)Maxim fruit. Take the alcohol extract on the pretreatment of the D101 macroporous resin, to remove water-soluble , such as polysaccharide and tannin, and then 30 percent ethanol solution cleared, alcohol recovery after decompression concentrated in the total extract of the Lonicera maackii(Rupr.)Maxim fruit, was identified as iridoid glycosides compounds. 4. Take the total extracts from the fruit of Lonicera maackii(Rupr.)Maxim, column chromatography, elution A system solvent, TLC identification tracking, combined eluate solvent recovery in the component I;tack component I repeatedly admitted component column chromatography , with B-eluting solvent system, TLC identification tracking, and isolated the compounds of Loganin, the structure was established by physicochemical properties and spectroscopic analysis.5. To study the hepatic protection,we established a carbon tetrachloride-induced acute hepatic injury animal model of Kunming mouse.Comparing with the group of model, the low,midst and high dose has an favourable activity of hepatic protection. Especially to the low dose.6. To study the reduce blood glucose activity, we established hyperglycaemia animal model. The results show that the normal levels of blood glucose in normal mice can be remarkably decreased by ig iridoid 4.0 g·kg-1 for 7 successive days.At the same dose, iridoid can effectively antagonize the hyperglycemics induced by adrenaline and glucose respecitvely.In addition, iridoid at dose of 4.0g·kg-1 and loganin at dose of 0.1 g·kg-1 were also found to decrease the content of blood glucose in alloxan-induced diabetic mice.
