Objective: To investigate the relationship between expression of PTTG protein and that of c-myc protein and their role in oncogenesis of osteosarcoma .Methods: Immunohistochemistry (SP methods) was used to detect the expressions of PTTG protein and c-myc protein in 37 osteosarcoma and 12 osteoenchondroma. Results: PTTG and c-myc are both overexpress in the 37 cases of osteosarcoma (about: 67.568﹪,64.865﹪) while not in the 12 cases of osteoenchondoma (about: 8.33﹪,25﹪). And the expression of protein of PTTG,c-myc in the osteosarcoma same to be correlation(p<0.05).Conclusion: Over expression of PTTG and c-myc proteins maybe related to human osteosarcoma. And it is samed that the PTTG induced the osteosarcoma through the"c-myc way".
